Style change: cool guy?

I want a style that is a little more me and cooler. Right now I kind of wear whatever like Hollister, Volcom, etc. I just blend in. I am into world culture, the environment, design, and bands like Owl City, Hellogoodbye, Farewell, and Metro Station. I am looking for ideas, stores, brands, anything that you can help with.
