Help with 8 month old sleeping?

My 8 month old daughter is having sleeping issues. She used to be able to lay down in bed with her pacifier and fall asleep. But lately she will go down for about an hour or so then spit out her pacifier and start crying. I will put the pacifier back in her mouth then a minute later she will spit it out and start crying, This will go off and on all night and the only way she will sleep is in my bed with me next to her. Any suggestions? I do not want to let her cry it out but I cannot be there to put her pacifier back in her mouth all night, I am afraid I started a bad habit ugh.
