PLEASE HELP ME FIND ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE?

I just ws browsing online, and I randomly got a few popups... then I X'ed out, and all of a sudden! I HAVE FORTY VIRUSES! Can you please help me find a GOOD FREE virus protection program??? I downloaded AVG and a Worm Blaster virus just won't let me open it!! HELP! I have 40 and have no idea how to get rid of them!!!
