A Questionable Body Piercer...?
Whoa! There is a lot of wrong going on there! Your intstincts are correct on a lot of this. I guest spot in Missourri at a good shop and I know in that state you have to have a license. You should call the health department about this. You should only be using an anti-bacterial non-fragrance soap to clean it and do saline (sea salt) soaks on it. Nothing else, petroleum based products can trap and make conditions for bacteria to breed and alcohol, peroxide,etc... are all products made for surface abrasions, not puncture wounds, so all they do is agrivate the wound. A straight barbell should NEVER be used in an eyebrow, this will cause migration. If she doesn't know some of the most basic principles of piercing, it makes me VERY concerned that she is fudging other important cross-contamination issues as well.
